#tacklehomelessness on the Eastside

It’s Friday and the night is lit by stadium lights and cheering fans. With each touchdown a sense of pride in your team builds - a feeling that you anticipate and look forward to all year.
For Lake Washington High School, each touchdown not only brings them closer to winning a game, but it also helps our community get one step closer to ending homelessness on the Eastside. Through our partnership with Attain Housing, we have pledged to donate $20 for every touchdown made by Lake Washington. As a proud sponsor of Attain Housing, we are looking forward to bringing more awareness to this incredible organization within the community.
Although the Eastside is known for being affluent and overall well-off, there are many whose lives are affected by homelessness. Attain Housing is a local organization that has been a resource for both families and individuals in the Eastside since 1989. They are dedicated to providing housing support to those who need it through various programs. For example, The Transitional Housing Program helps families with one or more children under the age of 18, find a stable place to live for up to two years in one of Attain Housing’s 32 homes.
Our fundraising effort was inspired by the Windermere partnership with the Seattle Seahawks, for every home game tackle they make Windermere Real Estate donates $100 to The Windermere Foundation.
At a local level, we plan on making an impact with the help of our community which is possible with the efforts of the Lake Washington Booster Club, as well as parents and families of the community.
A special shout out to the Lake Washington Football program, whose team is dedicated to building and maintaining relationships within the community, because after all #wearekirkland.
