There are many reasons to love Kirkland, but one of our favorites is all of the amazing parks! Kirkland has many parks that attract residents of all ages with their different offerings. In this list there is something for everyone, and who knows you may discover a park you did not know about!
Marina Park
Looking to get some work done outdoors? The Marina Park could be your next office space with free wireless internet access provided by the city. Waterfront views can also be the backdrop of your next gathering with a pavillion available for rent by the hour at the Marina Park. Bonus: If you are a resident of Kirkland you get a discount! And not to worry, if you aren’t renting the gazebo there are plenty of picnic tables and benches that you can sit and enjoy a beach front picnic and take in all of the views.

Tot Lot Parks & Pea Patch
Have a green thumb? Then this park is perfect for you! Tot Lot Park provides community garden plots that can be rented and used for personal use between March 1st - November 1sr for $55. This fee gets you one of the 20 plots as well as water in raised beds that are fully fenced. But don’t wait to sign up because plots open at the beginning of the year. But not to worry, if you don’t get a spot you can be added to a waitlist.

Heronfield Wetlands
Calling all animal lovers! This wetland not only is an urban wildlife habitat but it also is a “day in the park” for your furry friend! Let your dogs roam and let out all of their energy in the designated off leash dog park. And for all of the nature lovers out there, the trails offered at this park are perfect to relax and unwind outdoors.

Houghton Beach Park
This park is the epitome of summertime fun and really has something for everyone. With a children’s playground, swimming area, dock, and beach volleyball courts, there really is something for everyone. Want to enjoy the day at the park with a big group? You can rent the picnic tables and enjoy everything Houghton has to offer with your entire group!

Juanita Bay Park
If you are looking for your next outdoor adventure, Juanita Bay Park is your spot! As an urban wildlife habitat, this park has five major plant communities all filled with different kinds of wildlife including over 100 species of birds. You can explore the wet meadow, the marsh, the open water, the shrub wetland, the wooded wetland, and the intermittent marsh.
